Applications are due Monday, January 27 for what’s been dubbed the “best competition ever” for university startups across the country and around the world, the Rice Business Plan Competition (RBPC). The RBPC provides student entrepreneurs the unparalleled experience of pitching their startups to investors and learning what it takes to build and launch a successful business.

Teams must have at least two current student founders or management team members, and at least one of those students must be a current graduate degree-seeking student. Engineering Entrepreneurship will cover the travel expenses and help prepare any Penn State team that’s accepted.

Past RBPC alumni have gone on to raise more than $4.6 billion in funding! Check out these impressive success stories and the 2024 event recap.

Check the RBPC website for FAQs and to access the application.
